A Welcome from the President of Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc.

I am honored to serve as the NFS President, and to be associated with the company that supports our Navy as the sole provider of fuel for our nation’s naval nuclear propulsion program and is contributing to nuclear non-proliferation as well.  

The NFS workplace priorities under my leadership will be SAFETY (which includes SECURITY), QUALITY, SCHEDULE, AND COST, in that order.  The recovery actions I have seen so far are in line with that philosophy.  Safety and quality are driven by the principle that we want our workers to return every day to their families safe and sound. This also means that we are committed as professionals to meet and exceed the standards, code, and laws that govern our business. 

We will continue to make the necessary changes to ensure our operations are safe and reliable.  Along those lines, one thing I will be insisting on an improved Safety Conscious Work Environment where any employee feels free to bring up any issue without fear of retribution and with confidence that the issue will be addressed in a timely and sincere manner.  Additionally, there will never be motive ascribed for bringing up the issue but rather the issue will be addressed on its own merit only.
